Valeriana officinalis. Valerian has traditionally been used when a calming sedative action is called for. Assists during handling, transporting, shearing, and other times of stress. Helps relax tight muscles. Specifically formulated with sweet glycerin and low alcohol content. Safe for occasional use during pregnancy. Give dose, wait 15 minutes, give more if needed.

Ingredients: Fresh and dry organic Valerian root (Valeriana officinalis), distilled water, pure vegetable glycerin, and certified organic cane alcohol.

Cautions: May have opposite or stimulating effects on some individuals; discontinue use if this occurs. Best to test with animals to see how they react before a stressful situation such as shearing occurs. Glass dropper can break if bitten! Transfer to plastic syringe or dropper for oral use. Cats: Mix dose with food or treat only. 
Dogs: Give orally between lip and gum or mix in food. 
  1 to 10 lbs:     1 to 4 drops 
  10 to 20 lbs:   4 to 8 drops, 
  20 to 40 lbs:   8 to 12 drops
  40 to 80 lbs:   12 to 20 drops  
  80 to 100 lbs: 20 to 40 drops  (20 drops = 1 ml or cc)
Large Animals: 2 to 3 ml per 100 lbs on grain or pellets or between lip and gum.
