Osha ‘Bear Root’
Ligusticum grayii. Known by Native Americans as Bear Medicine?. Bears are said to seek out this plant in the spring when first coming out of hibernation. A respected sacred prayer and healing plant, Osha is no longer as abundant in many areas as in former times. Eagle Peak has worked for years to convince it to return to our land. It now willingly grows in our garden and along our creeks. An immune stimulant with an affinity for the lungs and upper respiratory system, it also helps prevent recurring middle ear infections in children, and loosens and expels mucus thereby causing coughs to be more productive. Excellent for chest colds with painful breathing and as a first defense with colds, flu, or sore throat. This plants contains strong volatile oils that are excreted with every out breath. Another important ingredient in our Omnimmune and Wind in the Door Formulas.
