Sweet Annie

Artemisia annua. Please note: this plant is often called “Wormwood”, which most likely refers to its relative, Artemisia absinthium. Historically used for the treatment of malaria, other blood parasites, and digestive parasites. Also helps to balance intestinal flora. Sweet Annie is currently being made into a chemotherapeutic agent. For more information on the use of this plant, refer to the study published by two research professors at the University of Washington, Henry Lai and Narenda Singh, in the Journal of Life Sciences 2001 and the British Naturopathic Journal of 2002.
