Usnea barbata. This amazing tree lichen, known as ‘Old Man?s Beard?, has at least four centuries of use as medicine and is now validated by scientific studies. Usnea has been shown to be effective against many serious gram-positive bacteria as well as fungal infections. It is actually two medicines in one: a strong immunostimulant, and antifungal as well as antibacterial. Indigenous people and wilderness travelers have effectively applied Usnea directly to wounds to stop bleeding and prevent infection as well as used it as a tea. We have had excellent results using Usnea with infections of the breast milk ducts in animals and humans. It is an ingredient in our North Wind Immune Support Formula.

Ingredients: Dry, wild Usnea lichen, certified organic cane alcohol, and distilled water.
